Sixth Grade
The sixth graders are continuing to strengthen their skills in reading notating and performing rhythms. Whole, dotted half, half, quarter, eighth, and sixteenth notes along with the whole, half and quarter rests.
They are studying duple and triple meters.
Deciphering percussion instruments and rhythms with keyboard partners.
Working on their music composition skills.
Students will continue their rhythm composition skills, music appreciation, tempo and dynamics.
*Spring semester students are being prepared to continue their studies of the performing arts in Junior high school!
*Report card grades are calculated as follows:
50% participation and behavior in class- 50% assignments and tests completed during class
